Development of Epigenetic Biomarkers and Diagnostic Platforms

As Principal Scientist at Episteme Prognostics, I lead R&D initiatives focused on the discovery, validation, and clinical translation of epigenetic biomarkers for oncology diagnostics. My work centers on the optimization of a proprietary chromatin accessibility–based assay platform (ATAC-array) for early detection and risk stratification across solid tumors. I oversee experimental design, assay optimization, and analytical validation workflows, integrating multi-omic datasets, including ATAC-seq, and targeted NGS, with clinical metadata. I have also implemented Six Sigma–based quality control systems and developed end-to-end CLIA-aligned SOPs covering biospecimen handling, library preparation, data QC, and reagent verification. My role bridges discovery biology, assay engineering, and regulatory readiness, accelerating the translation of epigenomic signatures into scalable diagnostic solutions.
